Sydenhams Wessex Premier League preview: Bemerton Heath v Fawley AFC (27/09/2016)

The good thing about this league is the games come thick and fast, and Farehams game was certainly one we wanted to forget pretty quickly?!

"Yeah the Fareham game was a nightmare but what I'm pleased about is the way the lads have responded to that defeat and hopefully learnt from their mistakes."

We've had some great results against the teams a league below us in the Hampshire cup, would you prefer another 'winnable' game on paper in the third round or an attractive away tie against one of the big guns?

"In all honesty the Cup is a nice distraction, the longer we're in the competition the better. If we get a kind draw then that'll be great, if we get one of the big boys then we'll relish that and look to cause an upset."

"I'm hoping we carry all the good stuff we've done over the past 2 games in to Tuesday's game"

Our first draw of the season on Saturday against Hamworthy, what did you think of the overall team performance?

"The first 45 was one of the best halves of football we've played, if we'd got that 2nd goal before HT I think we would of won the game. We had a couple of chances at the end to win the game but just couldn't grab that goal."

Matt Vining took his tally up to 8 goals this season, he's returned to the club like a man possessed! To steady the ship you've moved Dan to centre half so you've got to be happy with Viner's goal contributions?

"Yeah been absolutely delighted with his goals so far. Everyone at the club knows that Viner knows how to finish. He's come back in this season and worked really hard through pre-season. With all our attacking options moving Dan to centre half seemed the logical move as we have shipped too many goals, he's a top defender but more than that he's a leader and organises the team. Just a shame he stuck it in our net Saturday."

Zac Willis has hit four goals off the bench including the winner against Alton -he won't like me saying this- but is he the Oilers' Solskjaer?

He'll hate you for it. He hated me saying it Saturday. He's pushing for a starting spot, unfortunately he's not available Tuesday.

Finally we travel to Bemerton Tuesday night what kind of performance are you hoping from our lads?

"I'm hoping we carry all the good stuff we've done over the past 2 games in to Tuesday's game. One thing that I'm trying to really get across to the lads is how communication on the pitch can improve the teams performance, the chat was a lot better Saturday so hopefully that continues."

Cheers Aaron, good luck Tuesday!
