Reserve Team Manager Vacancy

The club confirms with regret that Jack Hobbs has stepped down from his role as reserve team manager due to personal & health reasons.

Jack Hobbs worked very hard in his new found role at the club, but after much thought and deliberation decided he needed to step back. Football at this present time could not be high up in his priorities and the club thanks him for his honesty and efforts. He's of course welcome back when if and when any circumstances should change.

At present Aaron Fry is handling the reserve team management duties with Shaun Moss assisting him, but this is only until a new manager is placed.

The reserves at present have a wealth of players and an Under 18's side beneath them ready to filter through. They play in the Wyvern League and have a lot of games to get through. The manager or management team will work closely with the first team management and club committee.

Anyone interested int he role should contact us by email,

Ground Improvements continue - thank you to all our local heros!

It's all hands to the pump around the ground as we look to get started for saturday and midweek fixtures at the LB Roofing Arena.

Josh McPhee not paying any attention to Scott as he poses for a snap!

We've had teams of volunteers helping out to maintain the two pitches, the areas around the pitch, the new floors in the changing rooms, litter picking and the all important floodlights! Josh McPhee turned up early on Saturday to test the floodlights and was swapping harnesses for football boots come 3pm to play for the Oilers, what a hero!

A personal thank you to all those who have dedicated their time to the cause, it's great to see so many people caring for their local non-league football club.

Memberships and ticket prices for 2017/18 - please read!

We have some important information regarding memberships and ticket prices for 2017/18 so please read if you intend on using the sports facility for the upcoming year, this concerns you!

Membership Cards for Holbury Community Sports Association and Fawley AFC

As part of our partnership with the other sports sections in the Holbury Community Sports Association we must account for all people using the facility and as such each of the sports sections will have to issue memberships and report back to the HCSA directors on a monthly basis.

Memberships will need to be issued by Fawley AFC to all playing and non-playing members who.regularly visit or use the facilities and will also cover membership of the Holbury Community Sports Association. These memberships will last from 01 August 2017 to 31 July 2018 regardless of when the membership is bought.

Definitions of memberships are detailed as follows:

Non-playing members (adults or concessions)

Any individual who is attending to watch football matches regularly at the Waterside Sports club facility. This includes first team matches, reserve team matches, Fawley AFC youth sections and Fawley Falcons. As well as including reduced match day ticket prices, non-playing members will also be offered an opportunity to join the supporters group (details of which available on the supporters section of the website ).

Playing members (adults or concessions)

Any individual who is participating in football matches on the Waterside Sports club facility. This includes first team, reserves, Fawley AFC youth and Fawley Falcons.

Callum Tanner will be the membership secretary for Fawley AFC and the tickets will be available for purchase from the bistro over the summer ahead of 01 August 2017 and thereafter. We will also ensure that all playing squads and coaches of all teams using the facility have been assigned memberships before the start of the season.

Matchday Ticket prices for Fawley AFC

We have a variety of matchday ticket prices for the 2017/18 season. Non-members of the football club and Holbury Community Sports Association will pay more than members.

We have also agreed to start charging a small fee of £2 for reserve team matches to help with running costs of the football club.

We hope the prices we have offered for the upcoming season are fair and allow more people to attend the matches regularly as we would love to attract some new fans from the local area!

The final game of the season against Brockenhurst had nearly 200 people in attendance which gave everyone behind the scenes at the football club great hope that we might have done enough to win over a few more people who might turn to grassroots football rather than the pampered premier league.

Puel's Saints side may have only scored 17 home goals last season but we're predicting plenty more action in front of goal next season as we look to make our mark on the Sydenhams Wessex Division One!
